Social Responsibility of Business !

There are two approaches regarding the social responsibility :

1. The Traditional Corporation model 
2. Metro-Corporation Model

The Traditional Corporation model :

• Under The Traditional Corporation model the business are not responsible for the social problems like cleaning , pollution, sewage, water supply etc they thinks that business are only established to earn profit at any cost, more over they believe that these are the responsibilities of Government not the businesses.
• Share holders are king 
• The corporations aim is to maximize profit
• have no social responsibilities 
• unions are responsible for the laborers welfare instead of business 
• Corporations have nothing to give they only have to gain 

Metro-Corporation Model :

• They have totally opposite thought They supports that all social problems are due to the business.
• They are the social institutions hence responsible serve the society.
• Their aim is not to make profit 
• They have social , welfare and 
• charitable responsibilities.
• They have same rights and duties as a citizen have.

A newly emerged approach called Country club Corporation, it says that business should have a 50/50 role in society should provide social benefits and not only concentrate in making profit
